چکیده

parent red-brown and brown single crystals, respec tively, and had average size of 3.0•~2.8•~1.1mm and 3.6•~2.8•~1.0mm. (3) The content of Li2O in all the Li doped crystals was less than 0.01wt%, whereas the Na2O content was more than 0.07wt% and increased with increasing addition of Na2O. (4) Crystals doped with Li2O showed no variations in the lattice constant, but the lattice constant of c-axis and axial ratio of crys tals doped with Na2O were smaller than those of un doped crystal. (5) Electrical properties of the crystals were affected by the addition of Li2O or Na2O. The elec trical conductivity of crystals was very low (10-10S•E cm-1) for Li2O addition but that of crystals for Na2O ad dition was high (10-8S• cm-1) at room temperature. At temperature above 300•Ž, the current-voltage characteristic curve of the crystal doped with Li2O was composed of two parts, ohmic and non-ohmic ones. EH decreased remarkably with increasing temperature.

Effect of P2O5 on Crystallization Behavior and Chemical Resistance of Dental Glasses in the Li2O-SiO2-ZrO2 System

Commercial dental lithium disilicate based glass-ceramics containing various amounts of P2O5 were synthesized. Regarding the crystallization behavior and physico-chemical properties of the glasses, the optimum percent of P2O5 was determined.as 8 %wt. Crystallization behavior of the glasses was investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and differential thermal analysis (DTA). The micro-hardness a...

GROWTH OF ZnS SINGLE CRYSTALS BY CVT TECHNIQUE UNDER DIFFERENT MASS TRANSPORT STABILITY CONDITIONS

Abstract: A thermodynamic model was used to find out the optimum temperature for the growth of ZnS single crystals in closed ampoules by chemical vapor transport technique. Based on this model 1002 °C was found to be optimum temperature for 2 mg/cm3 concentration of transporting agent (iodine). ZnS Crystals were grown in optimum (1002 °C) and non-optimum (902 °C and 1102 °C) temperatures. The c...

Growth of CsI(Tl) crystals doped with Ca and Tm and investigation of its scintillation characteristics

In this work, the growth of CsI(Tl) crystals as gamma detector was performed using vertical Bridgman method with Ca and Tm co-dopants. For evaluation of the growth crystals, X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), photoluminescence and thermoluminescence spectra as well as recorded gamma spectra were employed. In addition, the scintillation properties including energy resolution, scintillation decay time, abs...

Investigation on optical properties in the surface of KClxBr1-x mixed crystals irradiated to gamma radiation (A new approach)

Background: Similar to the thermoluminescence (TL) spectra, the optical parameters variations can also be used in TL crystals for dosimetry purposes. These optical parameters can include absorption, transmission and reflection coefficients. Materials and Methods: Single crystals of KBr and KCl which have been used in this research were grown from laboratory grade extra pure precursor p...
